"My cat kept scratching the same couch corner every day. I cut this to fit, stuck it on, and now she scratches the mat instead of destroying the furniture."

"I put it on the side of our shelf where my cats kept stretching and scratching. They went straight to it and it looks way cleaner than the old scratched-up spot."

Frequently Asked Questions

What is PawStride used for? +

PawStride is a self-adhesive cat scratch carpet made to protect furniture while giving your cat a safe, satisfying spot to scratch.

Where can I place it? +

You can place it on sofas, couch arms, wall corners, doors, shelves, stairs, cat trees, scratching posts, ramps, and even DIY cat toys.

Is it safe for furniture types? +

Yes. Our mats grip tightly to fabric, leather, or wood. They shield your furniture with a durable surface cats love to scratch, helping protect the material underneath.

Is installation difficult? +

No. Simply clean the surface, peel the backing, and apply it to your target area. The adhesive helps it stay firm while your cat scratches.

What if it doesn't work? +

Try it out for 30 days. If it doesn’t work for you, we’ll give you a full refund. We take the risk because we’re confident it will help.

Easy installation, cat approved ! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

My cat has a habit of clawing at the backing of my office chair. With this product, all I did was cut the material to match the sizing of the area I wanted to cover, removed the plastic backing, and adhered it to my chair. Needless to say that installation was seamless. The plastic backing is a bit tricky to remove, but once you’re able to remove it, the adhesive is veryyy sticky, I have confidence that it will last. ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Works great as traction!

My cat can't jump any more because of her arthritis so I made this ramp so she can get from the window to my desk. She was just sliding across the bare wood but gets good traction with this. She uses it every day!

WOW this is fantastic stuff!!!!

Very durable tight knit material, there's a very thin piece of film that cover's the sticky side so have patients getting it started, it also has a good thickness to it and man does it stick! So keep film on as you press it down and pull film off as you press it down till done, i put one strip of the red tape (that they send with it) extra just because when or if they need it to pull themselves up or use it for scratching it will safely stay put, i ordered (2) because this surface of the gun safe is very slick, so the first one we placed on top leaving a good amount of slick surface to start the second one to drop down over the side, the top one mainly to hold the bed in place so it doesn't slide around, the other to give them support to grab when they jump up, because it is tall, they love being up high, and in the winter thats where the heat is too, so now no worry's of them falling or sliding the bed off, we all LOVE IT!

Good product!!

I purchased this adhesive backed carpet for a cat wall I am building. It is a clean and simple pattern and the foil backing is very sticky - it adheres very well to the platforms/Steps I have made.It was not apparent to me that the foil backing is where the adhesive was and I struggled to pull the foil of the first piece. The foil actually has a thin, clear plastic over it. It is difficult to get the plastic to start pulling away from the foil. Once the separation is started it very easy. The technique I found that works for me to to use my finger nails to pinch the plastic on the edge to start it pulling away. I found I can get it started in about 2 or 3 tries. I have included a short video showing the plastic pulling away and a photo of me pinching the plastic to get it started separating. I usually wind up pinching a small amount of foil as well but it is the best way I have found to separate the plastic from the foil. It is a good product.

Simple but effective 💚

So far so good! I would say it was difficult to apply because there is only one tab to remove the paper off the back for the adhesive so when you are cutting it for certain sizes, such as I did, you have to almost dig into it to get back off, but other than that, it was easy to stick on and cut, but still seems durable enough for outdoors. Cats seem to like it!

very happy but I have some notes!

The corner of my bed frame where my cat likes to scratch was getting out of hand, and this gives me peace of mind about the loose threads being a hazard. It also looks much nicer, as you can see!The adhesive is very sticky and seems effective so far; however, the plastic backing is quite thin and breaks easily - it was difficult to find a corner, and then when I finally did, it was difficult to pull it all off in one piece. The grids on the back were helpful for cutting, but only appeared in some places, which made even lines a bit challenging. Also - be careful opening the package, as I didn’t know it included sharp fasteners (like twisted pins, as an attachment option) and poked my finger when picking up the little plastic bag they were in. 😅All that said, I managed just fine and it does exactly what I hoped. We’ll see how it holds up, but for now I’m happy!

Easiest way to repair an otherwise perfect cat tree.

Wow! This is a game changer for cleaning up and fixing a cat tree! Previously, I tried to repair a cat tree with sisal by wrapping it around the columns and it was a nightmare. One, it took forever to put the glue on and then wrap it before the glue dried, but two it was very tedious and time consuming. This was much easier and looked great. I used regular Elmer's glue and then wrapped with bungee cords until it dried. The Whole project doing 3 columns took 2 days and no more that 2 hours in total time.

Very satisfied; the rest is up to the cat

I used this to protect my new box spring fom my cat’s enthisiastic scratching. The navy color blended very well with the fabric on the box spring, and adhered well. The markings on the back of the material were very helpful in cutting it to the size I wanted. I’m very satisfied with the thickness, and there is no unpleasant smell.I had a little bit of trouble getting the corner of the protective film started, but I stuck a piece of painters tape to it and used that as a tab to pull it back and it was very easy after that.Although my cat hasn’t tried to scratch it yet, so I can’t comment on durability, I’m very pleased with the purchase so far.
